From your first weeks you will get hands-on. You will assist with keyword research and competitor analysis, implement on-page optimisation tasks carefully and accurately, help run technical audits and log the issues you find, and prepare the ranking, traffic and activity reports that show clients their progress. As you demonstrate reliability and judgement, your ownership grows - more accounts, more decisions, more trust.

A typical day might involve researching keyword opportunities for a client, updating on-page elements across a set of pages, running a crawl and noting the issues, and pulling together a weekly performance report. Along the way you will be learning constantly - why certain pages rank, how technical issues hurt visibility, what actually moves the needle versus what just looks busy.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior specialists with keyword research and competitor analysis.
  • Implement on-page optimisation tasks accurately across client pages.
  • Help run technical audits and clearly log the issues found for the team to fix.
  • Prepare regular ranking, traffic and activity reports for clients and internal review.
  • Monitor performance daily and flag meaningful changes early.
  • Research topics, SERPs and search intent to support content and strategy.
  • Learn and correctly apply current SEO best practice under guidance.
  • Grow your ownership of tasks and accounts as your skills develop.
